Spanish/English Bilingual EFL Teacher | Remote Position

We are looking for bilingual EFL teachers — Spanish first language speakers with C1/C2 English proficiency — to deliver high-quality English instruction to beginner students across group and private classes.

Your bilingualism isn't a nice-to-have here. It's the foundation of the role.

• Start Date: Immediate upon completion of recruitment & onboarding
• Location: 100% Remote (work from home)
• Students: Adult beginner English learners
• Language of Instruction: English (Spanish-support bilingual model)
• Rate: $6.00 USD per hour
• Contract Type: Independent Contractor with The Really Great Teacher Company (Part-Time)
• Format: Group classes & private one-on-one sessions
• Schedule: Minimum 10 hours availability per week (including 5 peak hours)

• Spanish first language speaker with C1/C2 English proficiency
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
• TESOL, TEFL, or equivalent certification (not required if your degree is in English Language Teaching)
• Minimum 2 years of ESL teaching experience (online experience preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of the CEFR framework
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both English and Spanish — written and verbal
• Must pass a background check
• Minimum 10 hours of weekly availability, including 5 peak-time hours
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, platform-driven environment

Highly Advantageous

• Prior experience teaching on structured online teaching platforms
• Familiarity with AI-assisted or blended learning environments
• Experience teaching absolute beginner students
• Curriculum development or content contribution experience

• Computer: Intel® Core™ i5 or higher, 8GB RAM minimum
• Internet: High-speed connection (minimum 20 Mbps upload and download) — fibre/cabled connection; connected via LAN cable
• Backup Power: UPS with sufficient battery life for uninterrupted sessions (if you live in an area with any power interruptions)
• Audio/Video: Noise-cancelling headset and HD webcam
• Workspace: Quiet, private, well-lit dedicated teaching space

About This Role 

The Really Great Teacher Company is recruiting bilingual EFL teachers. This is a remote, part-time contractor role open to Spanish first language speakers with C1 or C2 level English proficiency. Teachers deliver group and private English lessons to adult beginner students via audio/video platforms. A Bachelor's degree and TEFL or TESOL certification are required, along with a minimum of two years of ESL teaching experience. The hourly rate is $6.00 USD per hour. Candidates must be available for a minimum of ten hours per week, including five peak-time hours.
